Welcome to Encounter Church!
We are located at 55a Wentworth St, Wallsend. Our Sunday service starts at 10 am each week. We’re a community of people whose vision is to make Jesus known in our lives, our community, and the world. We believe that you were created for a cause and we are passionate about connecting you to your purpose. We are part of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC) and we love worship, grace and community. We can’t wait to see you in church!

God loves us more than we could ever imagine and I’m passionate about making His love obvious in the Church, in our community and in the world.
Our vision, as a church, is to make Jesus known and I am convinced that this happens most powerfully when we run into grace, find our purpose, and then serve others passionately.
I believe that there is more to church than just Sunday morning and so, at Encounter, we are committed to community partnership, leadership development, and authentic worship.
Our Leaders
We are committed to making life better for everyone we meet. We believe that the church is in Wallsend for a purpose, and that purpose is to show the love of God to our neighbours through our community partnerships.
Team is important to us and we believe when every person uses their unique gifts and talents we are at our best.
As a team, we work together to see the good news about Jesus make an impact in the lives of everyone we meet and ultimately to change the world.

We are authentic and we care about making others feel welcome.
We value people and believe that everyone is important to God and everyone has a purpose.
We care about the community around us and because of this, we have created a community garden, we’re a hub for Box Divvy, and we run Aim High- homework help, Citizenship classes, Holiday clubs and much more.
